Welcome to Upendo Asili Safaris. These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between you (the client) and Upendo Asili Safaris regarding our travel and tour services.

1. Use of Our Website

You may use this website for personal, non-commercial purposes such as browsing packages, sending inquiries, or booking a tour.

By using the site, you agree to:
✅ Provide accurate information in all forms and bookings
✅ Avoid unlawful or unauthorized activities
✅ Respect our intellectual property (text, images, branding)

🔐 We reserve the right to restrict access if terms are violated.

2. Scope of Our Services

We provide curated travel experiences within Tanzania, including:
✔ Wildlife safaris
✔ Cultural and community-based tourism
✔ Mountain trekking (e.g., Kilimanjaro, Meru)
✔ Beach escapes in Zanzibar and more

🚫 Note: We do not include international flights, visa services, or personal insurance unless stated.

3. Booking & Payment

To confirm your safari, the following payment terms apply:

💰 Payment Terms

  • Deposit: 30% non-refundable deposit to secure your spot

  • Final Payment: Due 30 days before departure

  • Late Payments: May result in cancellation

Accepted Payments

  • Credit/Debit Card (Visa, MasterCard)

  • Bank Transfers

  • Secure online platforms (e.g., PayPal)

📌 Prices are listed in USD, unless otherwise agreed. Clients are responsible for bank fees and exchange rate differences.

4. Pricing & Adjustments

Prices are based on current park fees, supplier rates, and exchange rates. They may change due to:
🔹 Government tax or park fee changes
🔹 Fuel price surcharges or inflation
🔹 Currency fluctuations

📌 If price adjustments occur, we will notify you and offer flexible solutions.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

📅 Client Cancellations

  • 60+ days before departure: Full refund (minus deposit)

  • 30–59 days before: 70% refund (minus deposit)

  • Less than 30 days: No refund

  • No-shows or same-day cancellations: No refund

🚨 Company Cancellations

In the event we must cancel due to force majeure or other valid reasons, we will offer:
✔ A new travel date
or
✔ A refund minus any non-recoverable costs (e.g., park fees)

⏳ Refunds are processed within 30 business days.

5A. Trip Postponement Policy

You may postpone your safari under the following terms:

Conditions:

  • Must request at least 21 days in advance (in writing)

  • New date must be within 12 months of the original booking

  • Subject to availability

Postponement Fees:

  • An administrative fee may apply

  • Additional costs (e.g., higher park fees or accommodation) are the client’s responsibility

  • Deposits are transferred, not forfeited

🚫 Postponements within 14 days are not accepted unless due to a verifiable emergency.

6. Itinerary Changes

Clients may request changes before departure. We also reserve the right to make changes due to:

  • Weather or road conditions

  • Park regulations or closures

  • Safety or logistical concerns

📌 We’ll always inform you of any significant changes promptly.

7. Travel Insurance

All travelers are required to have valid travel insurance covering:

✅ Emergency medical care & evacuation
✅ Trip cancellation or interruption
✅ Lost baggage or personal items

📌 Lack of travel insurance may result in full liability for personal expenses.

8. Accommodation

✔ All accommodation will match your booking confirmation
✔ In rare cases, equivalent alternatives may be offered due to availability
✔ Guests must follow lodge or camp guidelines and rules

9. Health & Safety

✔ Disclose any medical conditions in advance
✔ For high-intensity tours (e.g., Kilimanjaro), medical clearance may be required
✔ Comply with vaccination or entry requirements (e.g., yellow fever)

📌 Disregard for safety instructions may result in removal from the tour.

10. Complaints & Disputes

Please report any complaints:

⏳ Within 7 days after your trip ends

We aim to respond within 14 business days. If no resolution is reached, Tanzanian law will govern, and disputes will be handled in Arusha courts.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for disruptions caused by:
🌪 Natural disasters or pandemics
⚖ Government restrictions or political unrest
✈ Airline strikes, bankruptcy, or terrorism

📌 We will do our best to offer alternative arrangements.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on this website (text, visuals, branding) is the property of Tanzania Motherland Expeditions.

✔ No copying, distribution, or reproduction without written permission.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. All legal matters will be resolved in Tanzanian jurisdiction.
